Listen for the line: "you get a rabbit's foot to keep a waving hoodoo" (and more)
About the Artist: Blues Diva Bessie Smith was a powerful woman who lived a hard and fast lifestyle. She had a big, brassy and outspoken personality. "There ain't nothing I can do, or nothin' I can say, that folks don't criticize me," she said,... "But I'm going to do just as I want to anyway."
Bessie Smith became one of the worlds greatest performers: she was one of the most successful entertainers in the roaring 1920's. A car crash took her life at age 39. {{Feel the emotion in her song; below}}

A new page in my life ...
-
I am abandoning this blog because I've gone through a horrific amount of
upheaval over the past couple of years, lost sight of blogging and turned a
brand ...
We hope to update the calendar for all the monthly rituals to happen the rest of 2010 and through mid 2011 sometime this week. Please check back! ALL ARE WELCOME.

Located in Des Moines, WA. Our Mission:
Our mission is NOT to convert others to look, act or believe as we separate individuals dress, behave and/or move about the world. “Pagan” is an inclusive term (including Druid, Wicca, Shamanism, Spiritualism, Native American traditions and more). There's no rigid definition for what “Pagan” looks, smells and feels like. Our mission is merely to provide a place for like-minded seekers of truth to call home. Come experience and celebrate earth-based spirituality with us!
Whether you're Wiccan, a Witch, a Heathen, Agnostic, Atheist, Jew, Gentile, Worshipper of Aliens or a member of monotheistic faith systems . . . you have legal rights according to the United States Constitution.
In fact, the First Amendment to the United States Constitution provides: "Congress shall pass no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . . "
Free exercise of religion is protected in the United States providing the belief is sincerely held. Lawyers state that means an individual's religious belief of any kind is protected and the practice of religion does NOT need to be part of any organized church, group or Coven.
Intentional encroachment on an individual's religion is actually forbidden, according to our First Amendment, unless the government can prove there's some grave concern for the social welfare of society (e.g., if your religion requires you to torment giants -- and those giants need protecting -- that practice of yours might be facing a problem in the court of law).
To further protect your rights, educate yourself. Support the groups that feed your soul. Visit insightful resources such as Witchvox, of http://www.witchvox.com/ and if you can spare a tax-deductible dime -- become a Witchvox sponsor.
